Mixed media (Oil and thread)
Silence carries its own language. For me, understanding individuality is like tracing the subtle threads that shape who we are — physical, emotional, and sensory. Each thread holds its own colour, texture, and memory, weaving together fragments of the past with the immediacy of the present. The thread becomes a symbol: fragile yet resilient, silent yet powerful. It binds us to one another, to our emotions, and to the world around us. Sometimes, it carries the weight of memory; other times, it mends what was once broken. Just like a tapestry, our lives are made of countless intertwined threads — no two patterns ever the same.
Through this collection, I explore my own threads — the quiet connections, the unspoken emotions, the untold stories. In reflecting on these, I find deeper clarity about the experiences that have shaped me. And perhaps, as you witness these woven moments, you might begin to see traces of your own threads too.
